Backstory
NOURA VELA is an AI-native project developed by Arkancia, built around the collision of two trance traditions: the guembri-driven ritual music of the Gnawa from the Moroccan Atlantic, and the log-drum hypnosis of Amapiano from the South African highveld. Every release pairs a synthetic lead voice — trained on licensed session work — with live percussion recorded in Essaouira and Johannesburg. The project exists to prove that AI-augmented artists can honor the source traditions they reference while opening a new lane for sync, brand, and crossover placements.
